Demographics and Psychographics

 1) What information do media companies use to create a demographic profile of their audience?  the information media companies use are things like age recommendations, the type of viewers they aim for, class types, gender recommendations, and areas where people live.

2) Why are media companies and advertisers increasingly using audience profiling and not just demographics?
media companies and advertisers are increasingly using audience profiling and not just demographics beacause they want to include pychographics to get the right type of audience, the ones who are willing to take interest.

3) What are the seven different Pychographic groups? the seven different groups are the aspirer, the reformer, the explorer, the mainstream, the succeeder the resigned and the struggler.

4) Write a brief summary of what each Psychographic group is seeking or motivated by.
the aspirer- the inspiration of others rather then their own.
the reformer-inspiration from only their own ideas and judgement.
the explorer-inspiration from their own need of discovery.
the mainstream-inspiration is everyone's approval including their own
the succeeder-inspiration from self confidence and organisation.
the resigned-inspiration from what they already know and are used to the things from the past.
the struggler-inspiration for spending all their money not worried about the next day.

5) What psychographic group or groups do YOU belong in? Think about your own interests and lifestyle and explain your decision. Remember, you may fit into two or three different groups! I think i belong in the aspirer or the resigned because im either only comfortable with using or buying from what i already know is good or i take other people's advise more than my own.
