The rejection from an audience member of a preferred media text depending on the belief they have.

3) How does the Harry Brown trailer position the audience to respond to the teenage characters in the film?
 The Harry Brown trailer position the audience to respond to teenage characters in the film by being a brave hero and impacts the audience and teenagers to think he is unstoppable and indistructable.

4) Why might young people reject this reading and construct an oppositional reading of the trailer?
Young people might reject this reading and construct an oppositional reading of the trailer because Harry Brown is way more older so older people would like it more.

5) Write a 150+ word analysis of the McDonald's advert using preferred, negotiated and oppositional readings.



In this advert, the dennotations are that there is a McDonalds sandwich , the background is dark and there is information at the bottom, there is also a caption that says "McDonald's introduces Big Mac. a meal disguised as a sandwich." The connotations of the dark background is to make the sandwich stand out more to catch attention.
