Talter CSP blog task

 1) What different examples of typography can you find on the cover of Tatler? What are the connotations of the serif and sans serif fonts?

The title 'Tatler' has a serif font which detects that its the most important information and tells the audience a lot. The 'Marchioness of Bath' has sans serif font which connotes how it is not as importants as it is below the 'Talter' title.

2) How do the cover lines appeal to the Tatler target audience?
it helps them get the concept that most of what they had presented isnt even real and its edited to 'perfection' .

3) What are the connotations of the Tatler colour scheme on this particular front cover?
the colour of the font is white which signify purity, elegance and demureness.

4) How is the central image designed to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. the model, the mise-en-scene such as props, costume and make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)
The model attracts most of the attention to the audience because she is dressed in an eye capturing dress which some may find a bit 'revealing' , the way she's positioned, her arms are in comfortable position and her whole self looks relaxed and calm.

Representations

1) What celebrities or famous people are mentioned on the cover? Why do you think Tatler put them on the cover? prince william for commenwealth issue and future king. sadie sink and noah jupe bc of their theatre debute in romeo and juliet

2) What do the cover lines suggest about the lifestyle of rich people in the UK? They suggest a lifestyle built on exclusivity, tradition, and massive disposable income. [, 2, 3]

3) Looking at the image and cover lines together, what different groups of people are represented on the cover and how are they represented? (E.g. men/women/rich people/race & ethnicity etc.) Summary for your test: Tatler represents a world where tradition (royals) meets modernity (diverse artists), but the underlying theme is always high status and exclusivity.

4) Are there any stereotypes being reinforced or subverted? How? Why? Tatler reinforces traditional upper-class stereotypes through its focus on hereditary "poshness" and royal centrality, catering to an aspirational, elite audience.
