 CAMERA MOVEMENT AND EDITING

PAN
pan is a camera movement that is in a fixed
position to move left and right but stays on
the same level. people use this technique to
follow a characters actions or to reveal
 information which is used frequently.

TILT
A tilt directs the camera upwards or downwards
film makers use this technique to show the posit
-ions of the set up or scenery

PUSH IN
The push in shot moves the camera towards the
Subject/object. To push the camera in is for em-
phasising a moment. This gives the audience a
hint of importance.

PULL OUT
The pull out shot moves the camera away from the
Subject/object to give the audience a signal of moving
on to another focus. However this technique is also
used to give a full image or for a negative affect of
Isolation or abandonment from the audience.

TRACKING SHOT
The tracking shot moves the camera depending on
the direction of the subject (follows the subject).
this impact the audience by making them feel suspense
on what will happen next or where the subject is going.
